The Indonesian government targets manufacture 24 units of fast missile boats until 2024.
Planning Assistant Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral TNI Sumartono in Batam, said Wednesday the twenty-four units of Quick Ship Missile (KCR) that will be deployed to the western region of Indonesia and North Sulawesi.
When accompanying a working visit Deputy Defense Minister Sjafrie, he added, "Quick Ship Missile is necessary for waters that have low waves or islands,".
Navy has now operate Quick Ship Missile (KCR) KRI sickle-641, while the other units that PKC-642 KRI complete stage equipment and weaponry.
Both PT boats made Palindo Marine has a length 43 m, width 40 m, weighing 250 tons, 27 knots faster pace and will be armed with C-705 missiles and cannon cal six-barreled 30 mm cannon and two-unit bridge 20 mm cal.
